Anaerobic Digester
The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency received an initial installation permit application for an anaerobic digester with flare and a small natural gas boiler from Synthica Energy, LLC.

Enforcement
A goal of the Agency enforcement program is to bring facilities back into compliance to ensure that public health, safety and the environment are protected. Enforcement actions occur when an individual, or a facility owner/operator, is not in compliance with air quality requirements and formal action is necessary to establish a plan to attain and maintain compliance.

Obtaining a Permit

Public Notices
When businesses in a county apply for a permit, Ohio EPA will public notice receipt of the application. A public notice describing that permit is placed in the local newspaper for that county, as well as on the EPA’s website.
